OWNERS ONLY SECTION:
WINDOW REPLACEMENT - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q.

If a trade contractor causes damage to an owner's suite during the window replacement project, what steps should the owner take?

A.

If a trade contractor causes damage to an owner's suite, then the trade contractor is responsible to repair the damage. If there is a problem with damage, then Rick Hughes (Rick Hughes (rhughes@rdhbe.com)), the site Supervisor of RDH, should be notified immediately so that the damage can be reviewed, photographed, and documented. As construction managers, RDH will manage repairs that may be required and deal with the necessary parties. In the unlikely event that the project specific insurance policy needs to respond, RDH will manage that process as well. If an insurance claim is filed against the project specific insurance, RDH will advise the owner to also notify the provider of their homeowner policy as an added precaution.
